The LEO Priming Grant supports new businesses in their first 18 months of trading. It provides up to 50% of eligible costs (the exact amount depends on the project and the LEO's available budget). Eligible costs include: salary/wage costs, rent/rates, equipment and machinery, professional fees, and marketing. The business must be in the manufacturing or internationally traded services sector, or have the potential to create employment and grow. Maximum generally €150,000 but most awards are significantly lower. Apply through your county Local Enterprise Office. Free mentoring is also available.
