The Organic Farming Scheme provides payments to farmers who convert to or continue organic farming. Payments are made per hectare and vary depending on the type of land (tillage, grassland, horticulture). Both in-conversion and organic maintenance payment rates apply. Farmers must be certified organic or converting through an approved certification body such as the Organic Trust, IOFGA, or Demeter.
Farmers must be certified organic or currently converting to organic through an approved organic certification body registered in Ireland.
