Work and Access is a Department of Social Protection scheme that replaced the Reasonable Accommodation Fund and the Disability Awareness Support Scheme in July 2024. It offers seven supports to help reduce or remove barriers in the workplace for disabled people.
The Disability Equality and Inclusion Training support provides funding to employers to arrange and pay for disability equality and inclusion training for their staff. Eligible non-public-sector employers can receive up to €20,000 per year, with funding covering 80% to 90% of eligible costs (90% for certified courses).
Eligible training includes: Disability Awareness and Equality, Neurodiversity Awareness (including manager-focused sessions), Reasonable Accommodation, and Disability Inclusive practices.
